This recipe is very versatile and can be served hot or cold. Delicious as a sweet sauce on the side with ice-cream and sweet tarts or as a glaze for meat to add a bit of sweet spice. Alcohol such as calvados or cider can be added if serving with pudding.
2 tsp cornflour mixed to a paste with a little cold water
Pour the Mulled Cider Syrup into a saucepan. If you are using alcohol add a dash at this stage. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for a couple of minutes. Stir in the cornflour paste and continue to simmer gently for a minute or two more until thickened but still a pouring consistency. Serve.
