This website is owned and operated by NR&A Ltd. Company registration No. 07963545 (trading as Makers & Merchants). We use this website to sell and market two brands we develop and own - Makers & Merchants and The Adventurous Blends of William Whistle, and to sell and market other like-minded brands. We hope you will enjoy using our website, our products and services.

Pricing

We make all reasonable efforts to ensure that all prices shown on our website are correct at the time of publishing. We reserve the right to change prices and to add, alter or remove special offers from time to time and as necessary. Changes in price will not affect any order that you have already placed. VAT is charged on delivered prices where appropriate.

Product Information

We do our very best to make sure all the information on our website is up to date and accurate. However, we cannot accept any liability (to the fullest extent allowed by law) for the accuracy of information contained on product pages or on the website which may contain inaccuracies or typography errors.

Please note (a) Images of goods are for illustrative purposes only. (b) There may be slight variations in colour between the image of a product and the actual product sold sue to differences in computer displays and lighting conditions. (c) Images and/or descriptions of packaging are for illustrative purposes only, the actual packaging of goods may vary. (d) All sizes and capacities referred to in any material published by the Company are descriptive only but are accurate within the normal standards generally accepted by the industry

Ordering online

You can order via our secure website, www.makers-and-merchants.com which is powered by Shopify.

Our website will guide you through the ordering process. Before submitting your order to us you will be given the opportunity to review your order and amend it. Please ensure that you have checked your order carefully before submitting it.

We acknowledge receipt of your order with an Order Confirmation. This does not mean that we have accepted your order. Our acceptance is indicated with a shipment confirmation that we send to you by email. Only once we have sent you this email will there be a legally binding contract between us and you.

Amending an Order

We make no guarantees that once placed and paid for, an order can be amended. If you wish to amend an order you must notify us by phone as soon as possible and provided the order has not already been submitted to our warehouse, we will try to amend it. We also reserve the right to cancel or amend your order before the goods are despatched, if the goods are no longer in stock.

Cancelling an Order

We endeavor to despatch all orders in the timeframe outlined. Within this timeframe you may cancel your order providing your goods have not already been despatched. To cancel your order you must notify us, by calling + 44 (0) 1935 388 546 Monday to Friday between 9:00 to 15:00 or emailing shop@makers-and-merchants.com quoting your name and address and order number.

Cancellations for items that have been custom ordered can only be cancelled if these goods have not left our supplier or manufacturer.

If your order has already been despatched, please follow our returns policy.

Payments

All payment for goods must be made in full when the order is placed. We will not despatch goods before payment is received. Ownership of the goods will pass to you once we have received payment in full. We cannot accept cheques or cash as payments online. Please note we cannot guarantee the security of data when communicating with us via email, so please do not send us payment information by email.

Charges to your card will be identified on your statements as MAKERS&MERCHANTS

Card safety

We use Shopify Payments that use the latest technology to protect your card information and will not release it to any outside organisation. Shopify Payments are certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. This compliance extends by default to all stores powered by Shopify. PCI DSS is a security standard for organizations that handle credit and debit card information. The standard was created to increase controls around payment data to reduce fraud.

Secure transactions

We aim to provide you with the safest and most secure shopping experience possible. Since provider services and technologies change, we reserve the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of our Privacy & Cookie Policy at any time without prior notice. If policy changes are substantial, we will notify our customers via email. Please periodically review our Privacy & Cookie Policy for changes. If you have any questions or would like further clarification, please contact us.

Delivery

All orders are sent to our customers by our dedicated carriers. We cannot guarantee exactly when your order will arrive but we aim to deliver your order within the following timescales following the receipt of your order and full payment. If for any reason, we were unable to achieve them we will contact you using the contact details provided on your account.

If your delivery does not arrive you must notify us via email shop@makers-and-merchants.com within 48 hours of the date of expected delivery, otherwise no claim can be entertained.

Damaged Delivery

When your order arrives please check your delivery. Stock shortages and breakages in transit should be notified to us straight away, and at least within 48 hours of receipt, otherwise no claim can be entertained. Please email us with photographs of the damage to shop@makers-and-merchants.com. We will strive to ensure that your replacement is organised at speed and shipped back out on a priority service without any fuss.

Returns

We have a no quibble returns policy on all our stocked products. You are fully entitled to a refund up to 21 days from the despatch of goods. The returned products must be unused, in perfect condition and complete with original packaging. Used or customer damaged items (including packaging) cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Returns for items that have been custom ordered are non-refundable unless deemed faulty on the day of delivery.

To return an item please contact +44 (0)1935 388 546 or email shop@makers-and-merchants.com to notify us of the reason for return. We will then ask you to return the item(s) with the Delivery Note that was enclosed with your delivery so we can identify you and your order to the following address: Makers & Merchants, NR&A Ltd, Frogmary Green Farm, West Street, South Petherton, Somerset, TA13 5DJ.

We aim to process all refunds within 7 days. We will email you a confirmation once the refund has been made.

PLEASE NOTE: we can only deal with orders placed directly with us.

Faulty Goods

To resolve any problems with faulty goods, please call us on + 44 (0) 1935 388 546 from Monday to Friday between 9:00 to 15:00 or email shop@makers-and-merchants.com. We may need to ask you to post the faulty product back to us. Should this occur we will organise the delivery for you.

Unique identifiers are placed in each mailing to enable us to recognize when an email is opened or when certain links are clicked. We use this data to create reports about how our email campaigns are performing and to provide you with marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.

If you have subscribed or indicated that you would like to receive information from us we would like to keep in touch by updating you on new products, promotions or new services we are offering. We will contact you via email or by post with this type of information and you can unsubscribe at any time or change your preferences on emails that you receive from us.

Please inform us if you have any reason to believe that your username or password has become known to anyone else, or is being, or is likely to be used in an unauthorised manner. You can access and update your details using the 'Your Account' area of the website.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts, remove or edit content or cancel orders at our discretion in order to protect our customers and our business from any activity which we suspect is fraudulent or illegal.

Alterations to this Website and Terms & Conditions

We reserve the right at any time and without prior notice to make changes to these Terms & Conditions. We may update our Privacy & Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time you use the website or place an order from the website. We therefore recommend you review these Terms & Conditions each time you place an order.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. However, you may only transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to another person if we agree to this in writing.

If any of the Terms & Conditions forming the contract between us are deemed invalid, void or unenforceable for any reason, it will be deemed several and not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining Terms & Conditions.

It is our responsibility to supply you with goods that meet your consumer rights. If you have any concerns that we have not met our legal obligations, please contact us.

These Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Incoterms

All goods are supplied in accordance with the conditions laid down in Incoterms 2000 and amendments thereto.

Non-Compliance

The Company reserves the right to cease trading with any customer who fails to comply with these Terms of Trading (or any agreed variation of these Terms of Trading). Such cessation will be effective immediately following notification in writing.

Law of Contract

All contracts and agreements relating to the Terms of Trading are subject to English law and shall be exclusively governed by the English courts.
