The William Whistle teas are a blend of high quality ingredients that make delicious cocktails. This recipe relies on making a green tea syrup which will keep for a month in the fridge, so if you like it make some extra and store it in the fridge to be ready for unexpected guests.
Makes 10 servings
200g caster sugar
peeled zest of 2 lemons
1 William Whistle Green Tea teabag
Gin & tonic of your choice
For the green tea syrup, place the sugar, the water and the peeled zest in a pan, and gently heat until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat, let it cool slightly then add the teabag and leave to infuse for approx 10 minutes. Remove the teabag but leave in the lemon and allow to cool completely.
To serve, make your gin & tonic in a highball glass and add 2 tbsp of the green tea syrup with a slice of lemon or lime.
