Over Christmas I always have a few bottles of Mulled Wine Syrup in the cupboard ready for surprise visits from family and friends.
This wonderful spicy syrup not only makes fabulous Mulled Wine it can also be used as a base for festive punch or add a splash to Prosecco for some festive bubbles.
Recipe below makes 5 large glasses or 10 taster glasses of Mulled Wine
1 bottle of red wine
1/2 bottle of Makers & Merchants Mulled Wine Syrup
Optional cinnamon stick to serve
Method for Mulled Wine
Mix 1 part syrup (or more if preferred) to 8 parts wine. So approx. 1 bottle of wine to half a bottle of syrup.
Gently heat for a few minutes, serve and enjoy.
